Suspended from the Pont du Gard, Roman aqueduct
[FRANCE - Gard/August 2006]
The Pont du Gard, a magnificent Roman aqueduct, has been a source of inspiration for thousands of years. This 50-metre-high edifice imposes careful balance of sound and resonance. For the first time ever, the Sirens were suspended from the arches of the Pont du Gard, turning in mid-air as they burst into song.
